eSwing’s Sensor Base is the “engine” that powers a stable of products. Housed in a sturdy, non-skid rubber base that’s compression molded from recycled rubber tires, the base measures 20″ x 15″ x 2.25″. The cavity under the artificial turf (covered by a protective aluminum plate that rests on shock absorbers molded into the rubber bottom) houses eSwing’s infrared (IR) sensors (two symmetrical arrays of 3 IR clusters surrounding the rubber tee) and other electronic components that trigger and control the swing analyzer. The IR sensors measure swing tempo, club head velocity, and face angle at impact. A rechargeable battery is also included in the cavity, which provides about 6 hours of sensor operation without AC power to recharge the battery.
