Rick Plank – CEO

Rick Plank is the founder and CEO of eSwing Golf Technologies, based in Seattle, WA.
He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy (Class of 1971) with a solid academic background in math, science and engineering and an impressive record of leadership. A former Naval Aviator, he has extensive theoretical and hands-on experience in using underwater acoustics to locate and target enemy submarines, which was the genesis of his decision to use ultrasonics in eSwing’s design to measure swing path angle. He’s also an attorney and an avid, single digit handicap golfer.
During his professional career, most of which was spent in the commercial aerospace industry, he worked for Boeing Commercial Airplane Group (Regional Director – Contracts and Sales), GE Capital Aviation Services (Vice President – New Aircraft Programs), Labinal (Director Sales and Marketing), and Alaska Airlines (Manager – Contract Management). He has traveled extensively around the world on business, particularly in the Asia Pacific region, and he lived for one year in Taiwan after he left the U.S. Navy as a ground school and helicopter flight instructor with the Taiwanese Navy. He received his J.D. degree in 1985 from University of Puget Sound and spent two years in private law practice before joining Boeing.
